The firm was founded in 1972 by Welles R. Guilmartin. Michael J. DiPiro became a partner in 1985 and Michael A. Sokolowski became a partner in 1994.  On December 1st, 2004, Kevin Feeney, CPA, merged his firm into Guilmartin, DiPiro & Sokolowski, LLC.  Kevin is a retired partner in the new firm.

Active in our profession, Guilmartin, DiPiro and Sokolowski is a member of the following organizations:

	American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
	Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA)
	Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) of the AICPA Division for CPA firms

   
Membership in PCPS requires that we submit our practice to periodic outside review of our quality control procedures to ensure adherence to our own high standards as well as those of the AICPA.
